My Liberal Democrat hat

A suede fedora hatI am a campaigner and activist for the Liberal Democrats.

Liberal Democrat politics has played a significant role in my life for around twenty years. In that time I’ve been involved in all sorts of activities at every level of the party.

At a local level I have been active within the Luton Liberal Democrats for most of that time. This has encompassed a wide range of regular campaigning activities and I’ve held various positions in the local party including being the Chair for a time.

More widely I have been involved in election campaigns at different levels across the UK, including helping at parliamentary by-elections. I have also been a candidate at local government level several times and stood for parliament as the Liberal Democrat candidate in South West Bedfordshire in the 2005 General Election.

I am a regular attendee of party conferences and have been involved in national party policy making.

Since 2003 I have been an elected councillor and part of the Liberal Democrat group on Luton Borough Council.
